We are a small, family run transportation business based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
Offering reliable, insured, local and nationwide delivery services.
Our modern flatbed vehicles have a loading space of 5m x 2.1m with a payload capacity of up to 1000 kg and are equipped with a 1.4tm hydraulic crane to assist with loading and unloading when there are limited facilities.
We also have ramps to allow us to load small machinery.
Available for both commercial and private contracts.

Purple Thistle Transport uses the Road Haulage Association Conditions of Carriage 2026 Edition. All goods carried and business transacted are subject to these standard terms and conditions; unless otherwise agreed with us in writing. A copy of these conditions is available on request.
ALLMI Trained
To ensure the safe handling of goods during loading and or unloading with our vehicle mounted cranes, we have undergone training provided by The Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers and Importers (ALLMI). This certification enables us to competently operate the crane and sling goods safely and securely, while also being legally compliant.
